Ripe is a strange book that follows Cassie, a Silicon Valley employee, and the black hole that is attached to her. Like Etter’s other novel Book of X, Ripe tells a story about humanity through characters plagued by distinctly inhuman attributes. This book was weird but I loved it and found Etter’s writing style so enjoyable.
