The Sixth Extinction by Elizabeth Kolbert won the Pulitzer Prize for General Non-Fiction in 2015 and it was well worth that honor. In the book Kolbert walks readers through various mass extinction events that have occurred on earth throughout history and points out that we are currently living through a time where there are widespread and accelerated extinctions occurring due to the damage we’re doing to the planet. This book was incredibly informative and it is one of the most impactful non fiction books I’ve read this year.
